By car:

From the airport head west on the Pan American Hwy (Route 1).  After about a 45 minute drive you will turn right at the entrance to San Ramón.  From there continue straight on this road through town until you come to a T intersection.  At the T, take a left and continue straight through the stop-and-go lights.  Hostel Sabana is located just before this road comes to a T on the right.

Address: 700 meters (.43 miles) west of the hospital, in front of the transit police

Note: In Costa Rica they don’t use streets or house numbers for addresses. Instead they use reference points and cardinal directions.

By bus:

By bus from San José you will arrive at the Empresarios Unidos terminal.  From there it is about a 10-15 minute walk or you can take a taxi (recommended).  There is a private taxi stand located right next to the terminal, or you can take a red public taxi.
